Job Title: Bookkeeper and Accounting Assistant

Location: Onsite at RITE HQ and local travel, 1744 Independence Blvd., Sarasota FL 34234 (this role is not available for hybrid or remote work)

Starting Pay: $62,920 annually at 50 hours a week plus benefits.

The Mission: As the cornerstone of our financial operations, this role oversees all accounting functions, including monthly and annual reconciliations, accounts receivable/payable and financial reporting. You’ll lead and inspire the administrative team, spanning Client Success, Reception and Accounting, all while collaborating across departments to elevate customer service for our clients and vendors.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Finance:

  • Prepare and process monthly financial journal entries.
  • Reconcile all cash, balance sheet and income statement accounts.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Accounts Payable:

  • Review, code and enter accounts payable invoices with precision.
  • Match and process purchase order invoices, verifying pricing and approvals.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and investigate discrepancies.
  • Maintain control of petty cash and expense report processing.
  • Manage credit card purchase reconciliations and documentation.
  • Handle vendor inquiries and process annual 1099s and sales tax reports.

Accounts Receivable & Cash Management:

  • Post and allocate customer and leasing company payments (checks, cash, ACH).
  • Reconcile credit card receipts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Monitor leasing company activity and support cash management efforts.
  • Collaborate with collections to oversee A/R aging and manage client accounts.

Reconciliations (Monthly/Quarterly):

  • Analyze unapplied cash details.
  • Review A/R ageing reports, including comparisons to leasing data.
  • Audit and report on contracts and sales activities.
